The Desires of Your Heart
Today as I was working at my church, I am the children and youth minister, I began to bask in the goodness of God. I recently responded to the still small voice that had been leading me into this new journery and new position at my church. As I stood in the church kitchen putting together pastry trays to take to each school(we want to bless our teachers and pray for a great school year) I began to thank God for His goodness towards me. You see I have always enjoyed working with food. I cater, do cakes ect. I have often considered opening a bakery or deli. Responding to the call of ministry, I had put other desires on the back burner so to speak.....in the midst of the kitchen I began to realize just how willing God is to give you the desires of your heart..............here I was doing something I loved doing ,serving the Lord and getting to make beautiful pastry and fruit trays that others could enjoy. God is so very good to His children desiring to give us the best gifts.He wants to bless us so we can be a blessing. So tomorrow I will go into our schools to bless our teachers with goodies and prayer and an encouraging word----God is good all the time,all the time God is good.........stay tuned to hear how the visits go......................

I love it! God is sooooo incredibly good - and Yes, ALL the time!
It is amazing how He works out our lives to bless us and others.
The scripture that comes to my mind is from Job and one that I have never liked... "the Lord gives and the Lord takes away". But, I see it in a totally different light! He gave you the desire, ability and love of baking and serving other with food. He "took it away" (seemingly) as you entered His plan for your life. In accepting His plan, He then "gave" it back to you... amazing God! What a Wonder! (we always "wonder" what He's going to do next!)
